Credit where it is due: the yarn in this kit is beautiful. The colors are very vivid and the texture is very soft. I love that it is recycled material, also. Kudos! The whole kit is also really well made. The instructions are not incredibly clear though, as someone who’s never knitted before.I don’t know how much it affects the experience, but I’ve crocheted for a year or so by the time I tried this. It was my first time knitting, but I did notice quite a few things getting in the way.In all fairness, once you do figure it out it is pretty straightforward. But I at first thought that “a garter stitch border” meant the first row when starting the project, then the one at the end. Nope: it means every first and last stitch in the row.I had to watch a few videos on Youtube to really get what I was supposed to be doing.A few other issues I’ve had were with the yarn, which, while it is very soft, the strands are a bit lose which makes it difficult to scoop the yarn when making the stitches, and the needles were a bit too short for me?It may or not be common, but it did make it really hard for me to learn to hold them and I had to resort to finding longer needles elsewhere to knit this.Once all of that was out of the way the process turned out to be even simpler than crochet in my opinion so I was able to pick it up quickly!But the big detour did take away from the experience for me.The scarf isn’t done yet but it is very soft and thick. It seems like it will be really warm and nice!So I guess I’d say, if you like the colors, and have some experience, definitely go for it!And truly, if you’re new like me, but would like to try, you should! Just keep in mind that if you struggle with your project, it might be a matter of needing to do adjustments such as getting longer needles like I did. You got this!

写真通りのものが入っています。中国製のキットとは比べ物にならないほど、ちゃんとしたセットです。毛糸の色が、とてもいい。3つ並べるとうっとりします。タイトル下の説明では「材質 コットン」とありますが、実物は「プラスチックボトルからのリサイクルポリエステル50%、アクリル50%」の100gの玉が3つ入っています。輪針は5mm×40cm、日本の竹から作ったものだそうで、金属との継ぎ目が滑らかです。どこの国のメーカーなのかなぁ？編み図は英語とドイツ語とオランダ語の3種類がついていました。「編み図」と言っても日本式の「図」になったものではなくて、Row 1 Knit all stiches (30 stiches)Row 2-4 Knit all stichesRow 5 Knit 2 stiches, purl to last 2 stiches, Knit 2 stichesという感じの英文が並んでいます。縁をガーター編みで囲って中はメリヤス編みなので、まあ、編めると思います。
